How to learn English step by step for Hindi-medium students

Hindi-medium students can also improve their English from zero. All they need is the right books to practice and enough grammar to structure a sentence.

When I was a kid. I first started to learn English from this book

Oxford Junior English Translation 

It is an excellent book for Hindi-medium students. The content of this book is

  2. Use of was/were
  3. Use of shall be/will be 
  4. Use of a, an, the  
  5. Use of This, That, These, and Those
  6. Use of the Possessive Adjective
  7. Use of the Possessive Pronoun
  8. Use of ‘s.’ of

  11. Use of the infinitive with the verb ‘ to be.’
  12. Some more hints on an interrogative sentence.

  17. Introductory ‘It.’

After that, they can practice from Oxford Current English Grammar.

Tense is one of the most important topics in English grammar. It helps you to differentiate between “am,” “is,” “are,” and verb forms. To make proper sentences, it is very important to learn Tense

  • And future tenses 

Read English Story Books 

Now, start reading English books. You can begin by reading a Class 1 English storybook and then gradually move on to English books from higher classes. You can also read novels by William Shakespeare. These are a few popular books by William Shakespeare

  • Romeo and Juliet
  • Hamlet
  • The Merchant of Venice 

Practice Most used sentences First

Some sentences are the most commonly used. And these are:

I am “Your Name.”

How are you?

I am fine.

What are you doing?

I am working.

I am going home.

Find a speaking partner. 

A partner helps you in correcting your English. Make sure that your partner knows English better than you. If you can’t find a partner, record yourself speaking and then check your grammar.
